DALSZA MODLITWA (ANOTHER PRAYER)

An old woman is gone, her house now sold. Her granddaughter gives her a last tour of the house by projecting her image onto the empty space, fragments of a project they once did together (an adaptation of a poem by Polish poet Zofia Bohdanowiczowa). While bringing a dear woman briefly back to earth, this short piece dives into cinema’s capacity to work through the fabric of memory. Images from the past are projected onto the left-behind spaces of the present in a poetic act of haunting and resurrection as the filmmaker tries to recreate the memory of her grandmother.
